- Billing your extended health insurance provider, ICBC, or WorkSafeBC on your behalf (with your consent)

How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our practice management and booking system, JaneApp, is PIPEDA-compliant with data stored on servers located in Canada. JaneApp uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Physical patient records at our clinic are secured in locked storage with access restricted to authorized clinical staff. Our team is trained on privacy obligations and the proper handling of patient information.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share personal information with the following third parties only as necessary to provide care and process billing:
- JaneApp — Our practice management platform for appointment booking, patient intake, clinical records, and insurance billing. JaneApp is PIPEDA-compliant with Canadian data residency.
- ICBC — We submit treatment records and billing information to ICBC for patients with active motor vehicle accident claims, with your written consent.
- WorkSafeBC — We submit treatment records and billing information for patients with workplace injury claims, with your written consent.
- Extended health insurance providers — We process direct billing to providers such as Greenshield, Manulife, and Telus eHealth on your behalf, with your consent at the time of service.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or any other purpose.
Cookies and Website Technologies
Our website uses minimal cookies and third-party technologies. These include Google Maps embeds on our location pages and Google Fonts for website typography. We do not use tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or analytics platforms that collect personally identifiable information. No personal health information is collected through the website — all patient information is collected through JaneApp's secure intake system.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information held by our clinic
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your information (subject to legal and regulatory obligations that may require us to retain certain records)
